The History of Hoskins, Nebraska
The town site that was to become Hoskins was first named Donop, a name brought over by Franz Puls from a town in Germany in 1869. In 1881, when the railroad extended from Wayne to Norfolk, the town’s name was changed to Hoskins.

Today, the population of Hoskins is around 283 people.
