1. How do I get a U.S. passport?

You will need to fill out a passport application, which is available at the District Court office and online (www.travel.state.gov). You will also need to bring two passport photos, your certified birth certificate, photo ID, and two checks or money orders to the District Court Office at 510 Pearl Street in Wayne. Minors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by both parents.

2. Do you have forms to complete when filing for divorce?

We suggest that you seek the advice of legal counsel. If you cannot afford an attorney, you may contact the Legal Aid Society at (877) 250-2016.

3. How do I find information about my child support, spousal support, or property settlement payments?

Contact the Nebraska Child Support Payment Center at (877) 631-9973 for questions about child support.

For other judgments, contact the District Court at (402) 375-2260.

4. Do you do civil or criminal records searches?

The District Court does not conduct record searches. We have a public access terminal and we can direct you to the records to be searched. Most records are open to the public.

5. How far back do your records go for the purposes of genealogy research?
